A business exists for the purpose of making a profit and they only need to hire enough people (right people) to get work done. So they are thinking of their pockets. Of course, if the business makes more money then society and people should benefit as well. If they keep all these people on staff when they can’t afford it then the company will fail and everyone would be out of a job. No one said the terminated employees had to come back to the same company – they could find other work somewhere else, right? Why would they go back?
