So, it is essential that the organizations accept and adopt corporate responsibility (Carroll, 1999). Social responsibilities is the concept through which companies incorporates social and environmental concerns in their business activities and in their interactions with their stakeholders voluntary (European Commission, 2011). Tim’s coffee Shoppe has several social responsibilities towards community in which they are located. Tim’s social responsibilities towards community in order to gain sustainability include:

Responsibility towards environment – Tim’s coffee Shoppe should be responsible to environment by making their supplier socially accountable; reducing wastage, green house emission; conserving energy; etc.

Responsibility towards society – it involves providing nutritional information of the menu items to the public; philanthropic activities; charities; generating employment opportunities, etc.

Responsibility to conduct business ethically – it includes: providing high quality foods along with superior services; clean as well as welcoming environment; equal opportunity for all of its associates within the organization for career progression; maintaining fairness, integrity, and honesty while conducting business, etc.
