Human resource personnel recognize that employees desire more than a salary when they search for employment. Employers must remain competitive in the field, so they attract the top notch employees to their agency. The cost is also a factor that human resource personnel must remember as well.

Research two companies in a similar market (for example, in the computer industry Dell and HP). Create an executive report with various forms of compensation, incentives, and benefits and current offerings of these two companies. Include an analysis of issues that the organization may face if they do not enhance benefits and some of the challenges and benefits if the company makes changes. Prepare the executive report for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team. The report was requested due to a high turnover rate and a strategic response to hopefully begin to address the issue. The Board of Directors understand they must remain retain their current talent to stay competitive in the market.

It is their expectation that this strategic response will hopefully begin to address the issue. To gather the information for the report, research the compensation, incentives, and benefits methods of two organizations, and then compare their strengths and weaknesses.
