Film Paper Guidelines Art Appreciation 1301

You will write a 2 pages review on the film. You may choose to have either a positive, negative, or mixed reaction to the work in your paper. First, I am looking for you to support your argument by application of the elements and principles of formal analysis in your review. The other forms of analysis such as iconographic, contextual, social and/or biographical should be part of your review as well. You will also need to convey an understanding as to why the film is considered important or groundbreaking in the art and history of film.

Type your 2 pages review, double-spaced with 1 inch margins top, bottom and sides using Times New Roman 11 point font. While my grading emphasis will be focused on the content of your paper, aim to be as clear and grammatically precise as possible, because grammar will be considered. You can submit your paper to me in class or you may choose to submit your paper in the drop box provided through D2L or in an attachment to my email. It is your responsibility to be sure that your paper has successfully been transmitted to me.
