- The president of your selected organization has recently heard of the Leadership- Member Exchange (LMX) model and want you to do the following. First, explain in your own words, what the LMX model is about. Second, explain what are the strengths and limitations of this model. Third, describe key steps the president can personally take to effectively adopt this approach.
- The president of your selected organization truly values the need for leadership to take a contingency oriented approach. The president wants to initiate an organization-wide, contingency- oriented training program for ALL managers and supervisors. Take ONE of the contingency theories (Path-Goal Theory of leadership OR Fiedler’s Contingency Theory of leadership) and do the following: First, explain in your own words, what your selected contingency theory is about. Second, highlight four (4) practical reasons why this theory of leadership has great utility. Third, develop a detailed outline of an organization-wide training program for your selected organization, using your selected contingency theory.
