Task
The past few weeks have been all about accounting, finances and everything in between, so it makes sense that you also start to develop your own financial plan for your current or future business. Working with numbers can be really scary for some business owners but the earlier you start to practice and conceptualize your business’s numbers, the easier it will get over time. So do your best and don’t stress out if it’s not perfect. At the end of the day, this business plan is for you!
Instructions
- Read this article. (Links to an external site.) Use the templates provided to complete this assignment.
- You will turn in 1 document but in four parts. You can organize it however you like, for example you can create an excel file with 4 tabs at the bottom.
- The four parts must include:
- Start-up Expenses/ Operating Expenses
- Income Statement
- Cash Flow Projection
- Balance Sheet
- I know this seems like a lot but just do your best. The point of this assignment is to get you to think about all things financial when it comes to running your business.
- You will notice that this assignment is due on the last day of class which means I am giving you plenty of time to complete it.

Submission Guidelines
- The document you submit must be a .doc, .docx, pdf or jpeg file; (If you use Google docs, you will need to download the file as a Word file, then upload it here.)
- The file should be named using the following naming convention: yourlastname_yourfirstname.doc (or .docx)
For instance, if Jane Smith was completing the assignment, her file name would be smith_jane.doc
