Assessment 1b requires you to select ONE published research paper from the list below and to undertake a review of this paper. The review should include a brief introduction and description of the research study. This section should include the objectives of the study, the setting and sample, method, results and conclusion. The bulk description of disease (patho, etiology, congenital or acquired)
2. Signs and symptoms of the disease
3. Vital signs, labs, & x-ray, MRI, etc
4. Dietary considerations
5. Medications-given in emergency situation, if applicable, and maintenance meds
6. Nursing considerations (pain assess, etc)
7. Surgeries, long-term tx, rehab
8. Family teaching with dynamics/culture considerations, etc
9. Create one NCLEX style question to present to class

The body of the paper should include an abstract, intro to your topic, supporting information, and a reference page. The paper should be 1-2 pages in length, excluding the cover and reference page, and submitted to the drop box by due date. of this review should be dedicated to a thorough and considered critique of the paper, both in relation to the quality of the research, and where this research is positioned in relation to other published work in the area. Your review must be formatted to conform to the Instructions for Authors for one of two Elsevier journals – Australian Critical Care or Australasian Emergency Nursing Journal. You will need to visit the relevant journal websites to obtain instructions for authors. Please note that, for this assignment only, you should follow the referencing convention of the journal not that of the Faculty
