Many individuals and businesses use Instagram on a regular basis to communicate with friends, family, potential business contacts, etc. Please review Instagram’s terms of service – https://help.instagram.com/478745558852511
Do you have problems with sections like Rights paragraph 1 –
- you hereby grant to Instagram a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use the Content that you post on or through the Service
OR Rights paragraphs 2 and 3 –
- Some of the Service is supported by advertising revenue and may display advertisements and promotions, and you hereby agree that Instagram may place such advertising and promotions on the Service or on, about, or in conjunction with your Content. The manner, mode and extent of such advertising and promotions are subject to change without specific notice to you.
- You acknowledge that we may not always identify paid services, sponsored content, or commercial communications as such.
Are you an Instagram user – did you even realize you were granting them the right to use material you post – that they can use it and even charge others a fee for using your material – and you don’t get paid at all. What about posting advertising on your site without indicating it is advertising? Would it matter if it was advertising you disagree with?
Is this ethical? What do you think?
