Discussion: We have just witnessed a historical presidential run for the White House between President elect Donald Trump and the Honorable Hillary Clinton. As part of the run for the White House, 3 debates were conducted so the candidates could communicate to the American people their positions on numerous issues. These debates occurred:

9/26th – Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York

10/9th – Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri

10/19th – University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Clearly, these campuses and communities faced numerous security issues. As an event planner it your duty and responsibility to keep all stakeholders safe and protect yourself from future harm. Research all 3 debates and discuss the security issues each community had in hosting these debates. Providing 3 references (one from each of the debates), discuss the security measures put into place at each city and/or campus to ensure safety and security of all stakeholders.
Food for thought. How would JWU need to respond to security if they hosted a presidential debate? What whould need to happen to ensure a secure and safe campus and city. Seek references that are unique, not used by all other students in the class, and that cause us to learn and think through protocol security challenges.
