  • Identify perceived barriers within the management structure that may hinder the process of communication.
  • What are potential problems that management may have when communicating with employees?
  • Based on the culture of the company and management backgrounds, what do you think may be obstructing communication? Support your thoughts with relevant evidence from the company background.

NoJax currently has some constraints within their structure that have the potential to create conflict and lacks the necessary relationship-based structure to handle them. To address or avoid conflict, some strategies and processes will need to be implemented.

You will need to consider the information presented in the company background document and information within the module to conduct your conflict management assessment. Identify potential areas of conflict within the management structure and organizational constraints that may be affecting decision making. Address the following in your report:

  • What do you perceive to be constraints in the structure that may hinder effective decision making and why?
  • Using the decision-making process, identify and explain ways NoJax can make decisions more effectively.
  • How can the elements and techniques of negotiation be used to reduce potential conflict with employees?
  • Identify and explain the steps in conflict management that NoJax should use to address issues that they may encounter.

This competency will allow you to investigate the influence leaders have on business culture and how it can impact change.

Instructions

In your continued role as NoJax’s organizational behavior consultant, you will examine their culture and how management can help employees adjust to change. You will need to use the management profiles in the company background document to analyze leadership traits and styles. NoJax needs you to write a report of their company’s culture and how change may impact employees and their relationship with management.

  • Assess the company’s culture and provide your analysis, including the relationships between management and employees.
  • Identify the company’s structure and explain how it impacts the culture.
  • Provide an analysis of management leadership traits and leadership styles. Assess how those traits and styles may be impacting the company’s culture.
