The below TedTalk is a bit dated, but the message is still relevant. In addition to this please use other research including the readings from Modules 1 and 5, to develop a theory of the future of Web 2.0 and 3.0 technologies (e.g., user-generated content and social networking), as a marketing medium, and share it in the paper. This is not a “Facebook is bad” assignment or a treatise on how politicians use Twitter. Just as MySpace and FB created a disruption in the social landscape, so too will users’ responses to emerging technologies. Link the trends you find to any of the chapters we have covered in this course. This should be interesting to research given FB’s challenges in 2018 and into early 2019, and enduring discussions about privacy that continue today.
