Select an IPO for a company in which you have an interest. The IPOs are listed by month. Three examples, which you can use if you wish are: Plantet Fitness, Amplify Snack Brands (they make SkinnyPop popcorn), and Snap Inc (Snapchate).

Research the company with emphasis on learning about their IPO, such that you can answer the required questions. Feel free to add additional related information as you fee appropriate.

Write a 1,050 word paper describing:

• The company

• The IPO date and initial stock price

• The performance of the stock price since the IPO

• The financial intermediaries in this transaction:

• investment banker and underwriter

• The originating house and “syndicate”

• The role of these financial intermediaries

• IPO initial stock pricing issues if any

• Investor risks involved in purchasing shares in an IPO and how the securities laws mitigate these risks
