The Current Event assignment must be a minimum of 500 words and no more than 750.  Each assignment must include a SUMMARY of the event (with citations), the student’s understanding of the IMPACT of the event to Homeland    Security, and the student’s OPINION of the event with a personal defense of their opinion.  In addition to the 500 words, the assignment must include a “works cited” page.  All papers will follow the APA format.  This paper will be graded based on content, organization, and use of proper grammar.
