The Implications of Biological Predictors of Crime

There is a rapidly growing body of research indicating that biological, specifically genetic, factors may predispose an individual toward criminal behavior. A predisposition, however, does not imply a direct cause of criminal behavior. Therefore, there are a host of ethical concerns related to using these biological factors. Some argue the benefits while others argue the dangers of using biological factors to predict criminal behavior.
