Before you complete any more testing for Woeson Books, you need to understand a little about how to map a network, and explore one of the tools of footprinting and sitemapping: nmap. Attached to this assignment are three documents; one is the instructions for downloading our VM client and logging into the Cybersecurity Virtual Lab, and the other two are exercises for you to complete (if you’d like to acquire Visio, follow the instructions at Microsoft Academic Alliance). Once you’ve completed the exercises, zip them together and upload to the assignment link.

Use your student ID to log into the toxic lab. You will be receiving your user-id and password for your VMS in the lab from your professor. Use this information to log into both the Kali and the Windows 7 system on the virtual lab. You’ll need to take screen shots to show your work. You can use the “Snipping Tool” to do this.

In the footprinting exercise, if you decide to use the visio option, be aware that the web site mapping is not available in all versions but it does appear to be available in most Visio Professional versions.
