The course final exam/paper project is a relatively brief paper (7-10 pages double spaced) on your assessment of the impact of a particular technology (chosen by you) from a social, economic, organizational, and political perspective. Focus both on first and second order consequences of the impact of the technology. You are to use the arguments, theses, and insights gained from the readings in this course. It is a formal paper subject to the conventions of APA style. Be sure to include a discussion of: What technology this technology replacing and why –i.e., is it disruptive, better, dominant, evolutionary, new and unique, etc.; What are its competition; Its economics; and What theory can best explain its initiation, maturity, and growth? (If there is not a theory that explains the technology how can one be modified to do so?
